AIM triton

I have been using Watch Right for several years now and althought there have been a few glitches with aol it has worked relatively fine until my daughter signed up for AIM triton. I have the correct boxes checked for it to post all AIM and IM messages but I do not get any of these messages now. I have the most current version fo Watch Right installed that is supposed to avert these problems (2002.0.77). Also Watch Right is allowed under my aol safety and security. Please advise ASAP.

Watch Right 2002.077 is fully compatible with AIM Triton. The problem you are experiencing is due to your antivirus program. Many antivirus and antispyware programs misidentify Watch right as spyware and block some of its necessary components. You simply need to set all antivirus and antispyware programs installed on your system to allow or ignore Watch Right. Once this is done, reinstall Watch Right.

I went through the entire system and made sure there is only one program for each (spyware, firewall, virus) and that watch right is allowed. I also scanned the entire sytem and restarted it several times. I then reinstalled watch right and now I cannot even get it to login. I can also mention that we have switched from dial up to broadband. This is is followup.

Do you get any error message when you try to start Watch Right or open its control panel? Please describe exactly what happens.

Also, please post your updated system information.

Right now I cannot even log in. I get nothing at all when I click the watch right box or try to open the program.

It seems that one of your antivirus or antispyware programs is preventing Watch Right from installing properly. Check again that all such programs on your computer are set to allow Watch Right. Also, I see in your system information that you have AOL Spyware Protection -- make sure this is also set to allow Watch Right.

Once all scanning programs are set to not block Watch Right, reinstall it again.

I am only using the Aol safety and security . I can sometimes log onto the watch right and sometimes not. Even when I do log on, it does not seem to be catching the IM's etc. I have reinstalled the newest version several times. Any other suggestions? I wanted to monitor all activity on the computer and this is not happening.

As I said in a previous post, all antispyware and antivirus on your system must be set to allow or ignore Watch Right. AOL Safety and Security is one of the programs that misidentifies Watch Right as spyware, and is known to prevent it from functioning properly. You need to set AOL Safety and Security to always allow Watch Right to run, and then reinstall Watch Right.

well again I have reinstalled the aol program and the safety and security firewall is allowing all watch right...sometimes it logs in and sometimes it doesn't. I have reinstalled watch right again and now it is not even logging in. Aol help says to contact watch right and you tell me to check the aol to be sure it isn't blocking it. I can only find info on the firewall and that isn't blocking it. Any other suggestions?? and be specific about anythig with aol please

After setting AOL Safety & Security to always allow Watch Right, you also need to reinstall Watch Right, as instructed in my previous post (this is so that the components AOL has deleted are reinstalled on your hard disk.)

I will do it again...perhaps you didn't understand my last post...wish we could actually converse....I did reinstall it again....how many times should one have to reinstall watch right to get it to work each and every day...?

Joan, Out of curiousity, is WatchRight logging any data (emails, IE sessions, etc..)?

I don't know if it is now because I cannot get it to open (that is what I meant by "not working"). When it opened in the past few days it would log some things but not all...mostly websites were logged..not ims...even regular aol ims not the aim triton..only have regular aim on the computer now. Remind me how to get the bps info. I am trying to go to it and paste it in and it is not working.
