It seems that one of your antivirus or antispyware programs is still preventing Watch Right from installing properly (if Watch Right was fully installed, the BPS System Info program would open.)

Is one of your technicians going to respond to me..... ? You do not have a phone number or email address and this is the only way to contact you. Please read past two responses,,,,I have reinstalled your program several times and there is nothing I can find to stop it from opening but it will not open and I cannot get the sysinfo box open either. I have been trying this for days with no answer from you..I will have to open more postings if this does not work to get the word out to others who may be having the same problems as me...bps doesn't work and they don't care seems to be your response...

Is one of your technicians going to respond to me..... ? It's difficult to help when you say: "i am not getting any real answers from you just the same " one of your antivirus programs...etc.."Even though it may not be what you would like to hear, the answer we gave you is a real answer. I understand you are getting frustrated, but the fact is that if Watch Right cannot even be launched, it means another program is blocking it, or has deleted parts of it (and keeps deleting them everytime you reinstall Watch Right.) We can't be held responsible if another program that you installed on your computer is preventing Watch Right from functioning properly. Thousands of other people are using Watch Right with no problem at all, so the issue here is not that Watch Right doesn't work at all -- it's that it doesn't work on your system, because something on your system is preventing it from running. If you can't find which program(s) is preventing Watch Right from installing and/or running properly, perhaps you could ask an expert friend to look at your computer for you and find out what is blocking Watch Right?

I just found what is blocking watch right..it is the aol safety and security center..the virus protection..when it is turned on, the wr will not work and when it is turned off, wr works..the aol people tell me ""watch right has something in it that needs to be reconfigured by the software company"...please check with your experts and let me know if others are having problems with this...

AOL Safety & Security is known to falsly identify Watch Right as spyware (I mentioned this in my response to you on August 27, here.) This is not a problem with Watch Right, but a common problem with any antivirus programs that use a simplified way to identify threats, as opposed to those using a more in-depth identifying routine. As I said in my first response to you here, you simply need to set all antivirus and antispyware programs (including AOL Safety & Security) to always allow or ignore Watch Right. Once this is done -- and only then -- you will need to reinstall Watch Right. I'm actually surprised that AOL tech support didn't let you know about the very simple solution of setting their software to allow a legitimate program that you want to use.

Perhaps Rocky or the Bear could tell me how to set the AOL virus program to allow Watch Right. I have only done it to allow it thru the Spyware and Firewall programs and I see from other responses that these two bps workers sometimes give specific help information.

I'm sorry I do not have the AOL Antivirus program installed.
Where did you get it from? Did it install with the AOL Safety and Security program?
I could always download and test on my own machine when you let me know where you got the download for your AV from.

Yes the AOL anti virus program is part of the AOL Safety and Security Progrram (SSC). Thanks Rocky.

I don't know if this will help, but these were the directions to allow WatchRight within the Antispyware component of Safety and Security by AOL. Perhaps these directions will help (or at least give you a starting point) until I can download and install AOL S&S for myself:
1. Open AOL Safety and Security 2. Click on the arrow next to "Spyware Protection" *NOTE: You might also want to check the Antivirus component too* This should display links titled: Allowed Items / Blocked Items 3. Click on "Blocked Items" 4. Locate "WatchRight" in this list, click on the scan date and click on "Restore".
-- The next time you run a scan make certain you place "WatchRight" on the Allow button, then select Apply. To confirm this selection, click on the "Allowed Items" link -- WatchRight should be listed.

Thanks Rocky. However, as I said in the earlier messages, my spyware and firewall are both set to allow watch right so there is no problem there. The virus protection does not seem to have a tab to set it to allow watch right. That is the problem I am facing. Hope you find out more tomorrow. I will check back. Right now I cannot even turn the virus protection off temporarily to see the watch right screen.

I can install the AOL Safety and Security package, which apparently doesn't automatically include the antivirus software. When trying to download and install the antivirus software I receive an alert saying I need to first install the AOL Safety and Security program. I've already done this.
The AOL Safety and Security program is buggy and too bulky. Personally, I'd uninstall it and see if that solves your problem. There are plenty of free programs that do exactly what the Safety and Security program does without the forced install of the AOL Browser, AOL Dialer and AOL Toolbar.
