In opening Windows Explorer in Win x64 and going to the Power Places folders within Power Tools progam, I find all Places are of a type Internet Shortcut. View/Choose details at the top of Explorer let's one check off which fields to display eg file name, date, owner, etc. However, there's no check box for Comments as there is with file types such as Application
I wondering where Power Places is storing comments in addition to the name, URL etc. I'm sure it's in there as doing an Explorer search on some unique comments for a Place, Explorer finds it as being in the Power Places Folder. Yet I'm unable to get Explorer to display the comments field.
The reason I'm trying to get at comments in Win Explorer is that I'm assuming I'm going to have to convert Power Places over to Firefox, and I need title, URL, and description to do that. I thought perhaps there's some software that could look through Explorer Folders and build some kind of output that I could use as input to Firefox.
Anybody thinking about this?
