(Sorry for repost...I put this is the wrong category.)
Does anybody know of a software package that would let me replace Power Places?
I have over 5500 places cataloged and it's my primary desktop for getting around the internet and launching applications. I do this primarily from 9 Power Places added to the top AOL line with the most frequently used places ahead of the folders for 2 click access, as well as from within Power Places when I have to go deep into folders to find a URL.
The think I liked about Power Places in Version 10.0 was the Windows Explorer like left pane of hierachical collapseable folders, and the two right windows, the top being the place and the bottom being a place to store memo notes eg account numbers, passwords, telephone numbers, names, etc.
Favorite places in Internet Explorer doesn't have these features. The AOL screen with Power Places in the top line is my primary desktop and I'll be lost without it.
I've started doing some searches with keyword URL organizer, etc but if anyone has already tried anything out that has the "look and feel" of Power Places, it would save me a lot of time.
Regards, Ron
