PT tells me most people in my buddy list are not on line when I attemtp to IM them, but I know they are. As soon as I exit PT, I can send an IM. What setting do I have to change to fix this? It only happens on one of my computers

Please post your BPS system information following these steps:
1. Click the Windows "Start" button.
2. Click your mouse on "All Programs" to get a list of all installed programs on your system.
3. Click your mouse on the "BPS SoftWare" program group.
4. Click on "BPS System Info" and wait for the window to load completely.
5. Once fully loaded, click the "Copy to Clipboard" button on the "BPS System Info" window (nothing will happen visibly -- please do not copy anything else to the Windows Clipboard until finished.)
6. Click the "Reply" button in this thread, right click in the message body, and then select "Paste" from the menu. This will paste your complete system info in your post.
7. Click the "Post Message" button.

This:
Sounds more like an AOL window than PowerTools. Have you tried checking out Keyword: PRIVACY SETTINGS yet?
PowerTools can't prevent YOU from sending IMs, but it can prevent IMs from people you don't wish to receive them from; PowerTools Ignore feature. You can view this by clicking on the CHAT+ toolbar button > Ignore List. The Ignore window lists those ignored in Chat, IMs, or both.
On a side note, if you're using AOLs "show friendly names in buddy list" feature -- PowerTools will not be able to send the IM. Go to Keyword: FILTERING AND VIEWING SETTINGS (or Keyword: BUDDY LIST PREFERENCES > Filtering & Viewing tab) and make certain this option is not checked.
