Lately, when I am IMing people, I discover that I am not getting IMs from them. Later I learn that they were told that I had logged off. I checked with AOL about this and they suggested a few fixes, including reinstalling my AOL adapter and decreasing the size of my personal settings folder. However, none of that helped. I have used PT for years and have never had this problem before, but since the AOL fixes did not work, I am wondering if there is some problem with AOL and PT when it comes to my IMs. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I am using AOL 9.0 Revision 4184.5301; and I am using PT 12.0

PowerTools doesn't affect the status messages AOL sends in any way (i.e. reporting whether someone is online or logged off.)
I see that you're not using the very latest revision of AOL 9.0, so you may want to go to keyword UPGRADE and download/install it to see if it helps. Other than that, there's nothing BPS can do for you, I'm afraid.

Thanks for your reply. I ended up reloading AOL, and now I am receiving IMs. The problem (and you may not believe this!) is that now I receiving IMs, but I am getting two of each IM. I logged off AOL and closed PT, but when I logged on again, the same thing was happening. And it happened with each person I IMed. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can receive only one IM? (BTW, when I send am IM, the window shows that I am sending only one; in other words, this doubling affects only incoming IMs, not those I am sending.

Does the same thing happen without PowerTools loaded?
