My Buddy available button in my IM box has disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Monna

If you're talking about the Available button from the Send IM (CTRL+i) window try the following:
[Exit/close PowerTools before you perform these steps] 1. Click the Windows Start button, click Run, and enter: REGEDIT 2. Double click to expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder. 3. Double click to expand Software, then expand BPS SoftWare. 4. Double click to expand PowerTools . 5. With the PowerTools folder highlighted, look for: Send an Instant Message <-- delete that subfolder. 6. Close the Registry Editor, and restart PowerTools.

Had the same problem only I don't have both "locate or available" buttons. I tried your suggestion to no avail. Can you help?

When you launch AOL at the very top bar does it say: America Online Security Edition or Second Edition?
The Second Edition does have a problem with the Send IM window (CTRL+i). This is fixed if you download the latest version of AOL (Security Edition) from Keyword: UPGRADE. Ignore any messages from AOL saying you're using the latest version of AOL -- it will only detect that you're using 9.0 but not Second vs Security.
This has also been reported to the programmer so he might be releasing an update for PowerTools to solve this issue, but I'm not 100% positive.
