I have a problem that's unusual. When I try to send an IM, part of the IM box will be in the upper lef-hand portion of my screen..for example, the "send to" box will be separated from the IM, as well as all the other buttons associated with the IMs. The IMs work but it's more annoying than a problem..any help?

Please post your BPS system information following these steps:
1. Click the Windows "Start" button.
2. Click your mouse on "All Programs" to get a list of all installed programs on your system.
3. Click your mouse on the "BPS SoftWare" program group.
4. Click on "BPS System Info" and wait for the window to load completely.
5. Once fully loaded, click the "Copy to Clipboard" button on the "BPS System Info" window (nothing will happen visibly -- please do not copy anything else to the Windows Clipboard until finished.)
6. Click the "Reply" button in this thread, right click in the message body, and then select "Paste" from the menu. This will paste your complete system info in your post.

First try to delete the information for the Send IM window and allow PowerTools to recreate that data: Exit PowerTools. Click on START > Point to RUN > Type in REGEDiT and hit Enter. Now double click on the following folders (double-click on "My Computer" if these folders aren't visible): - HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- Software
- BPS SoftWare
- PowerTools 12
Right click on the folder named: Send an Instant Message and select "Delete" Close the Registry Editor and launch PowerTools.

What happens to the Send IM window if you disable PowerTools from enhancing it?
Click on the red PowerTools drill icon > Customize PowerTools > General Preferences. Under Enhancements, uncheck Send IM window.
Does the Send IM window appear normally now?

I unchecked the enhanced powerIM box and the now they appear normal. Now what needs to happen? I've tried reloading Powertools to no avail.

While PowerTools is NOT enhancing the Send IM window:
Open the Send IM window. Click on Window (from the top of your monitor) and select "Remember Window Size and Position". Now, click on Window and select "Forget Window Size and Position".
Try to enable the enhancement.
What happens?

I followed those instructions and the IM box that was unenhanced failed to change into the enhanced version when I checked the box. I hope that what was supposed to happen. I tried to launch the IM again and the same recurring thing happens, The "send to" part is at the top of the screen and the buttons are separated also from the IM box...anything else I can try.

This only happened on one particular build of AOL 9.0 (there are many), but I can't suggest that you download the latest because that is not compatible with PowerTools.
You'll probably want to use the Send IM window without PowerTools enhancement until more news is available about compatibility with AOL 9.0 VR (which stands for Vista Ready).
