IM Away Message

I will try this here, even tho I have no idea what is causing the problem. The problem is that people I am IMing with will receive my Away message even tho I am not away. I have asked AOL about it and gotten a big nothing from them. At first I thought it might have to do with installing a new adaptor in my computer for my wireless network. I went from a 54mps adaptor to a 108mps adaptor. But, when I go back to the slower adaptor it still does it. It does NOT disconnect, but just sends out the Away message. I am not sure if it is doing it based on my being inactive in the IM for a period of time or not. Is there a setting for that kind of thing? As I said, this is just a shot, since I can't get any help from AOL. I also appear to be gone on the buddy list, too. It shows me as away....or sometimes logged off. Either Or..

it is hard to nail down anything specific on this. I have to rely on what people are telling me.

PowerTools doesn't affect whether AOL sees you as being offline or away. Since this problem is not related to PowerTools and this forum is for PowerTools tech support, I'm going to have to lock this thread, sorry.
