Power Ims wont turn off

I had to do a restore to my system (certain programs not working correctly) and now I cant get the power ims to turn off as I prefer to use aol grouped ims. everytime I set it pt turns it off as soon as I hit the send button. and I do have the disable power ims set. had a prob with this before but somewhere I managed to get it to set and stay set. by signing off and on. this isnt working now. Thank you.

Also in regard to this same one. I uninstalled pt and reinstalled it with the same results. also power ims are really freezing me up.. trying to use those since pt keeps turning off grouped ims and substituting power ims that dont have any settings. I cannot turn off popups either with the buddy list. settings say off and I keep seeing this little box popping up everytime a buddy gets booted and signs back on and lately that is a lot for one person. I will include the settings of this new install as it is at least working a little bit better. not freezing so bad as the first installation but still freezing up. also still getting duplication of the buddy list and shows lines when you drag it.

Try the following and let me know if this disables the PowerTools PowerIM feature:

[Exit/close PowerTools before you perform these steps]

1. Click the Windows Start button, click Run, and enter: REGEDIT
2. Double click to expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.
3. Double click to expand Software, then expand BPS SoftWare.
4. Double click to expand PowerTools 12.

---> Steps to fix IM Manager <---
5. Double click to expand IM Manager.
6. Locate the value named "Disable PowerIM" on the right side and double click on this entry.
7. Change "No" to "Yes"

---> Steps to fix Buddy List Alerts <---
8. Double click the folder Buddy Alert (in the left pane)
9. Double click on the value "Alert All" (in the right pane)
and change the value from "Yes" to "No"
10. Close the Registry Editor, and restart PowerTools.
