I am running Windows 2000, AOL 9 and PT12 on a system with a Matrox G450 dualhead card and dual monitors. Once in a while, the mouse pointer will just stop working inside the AOL or Powertools windows. It's still there and it still works when you click, it just does not display. Shutting down AOL/PT and starting it back up cures the issue but it's a pain.
I have found that I can hold down the left button while outside the AOL screens and then move to them. This keeps the mouse pointer on screen to see where it is but the second you release it, it's gone again.
Any ideas as to what to check? All the windows patches are in place, and I have the latest drivers for the Matrox card.
Thanks in advance

I haven't heard of this issue before.
Does the same problem happen without PowerTools loaded?
If your answer is... YES: Then I'm afraid this is an AOL issue and you'll need to contact them. Keyword: TECH LIVE on AOL.
NO: Post the BPS System Information Report.
Please follow these directions to post the BPS System Information Report:
1. Click the Windows "Start" button.
2. Click on "All Programs" to get a list of all installed programs on your system.
3. Click on the "BPS SoftWare" program group.
4. Click on "BPS System Info" and wait for the window to load completely.
5. Once fully loaded, click the "Copy to Clipboard" button on the "BPS System Info" window (nothing will happen visibly -- please do not copy anything else to the Windows Clipboard until finished.)
6. Click the "Reply" button in this thread, right-click in the message body, and then select "Paste" from the menu. This will paste your complete system info in your post.
