My logging is turned on for my instant message log manager but it is not logging any of my chats why?

My logging is turned on for my instant message log manager but it is not logging any of my chats why? Can you please tell me, on the top left hand corner of your IM does it say PowerIM or Instant Message? If it says Instant Message your are using an AOL instant message and that would be the reason for the IM not logging, you would need to be using a PowerIM so it can Log. To do this, look at the bottom of your screen above your System clock, and you should see an Icon that looks similair to a cassette Tape, if you put your cursor over it it will say "Display my IM's Menu" click on that, then click on PowerIM Preferences, now make sure there is NO check in Disable PowerIM Preferences, if you do have a check there remove that check.
