when I move from one chat room to another I can't seem to get there in one piece....the room name may change and I may see the new chat from the new room, but the room list stays for the room I just left. I have to first exit a room and then enter the next room. I know you are not doing a full support any more, but what ever you might offer would be appreciated. I HAVE reloaded PT, which is 12.0.38 with AOL 9, Opt...ver 4148.5129.
I cannot find the system info that you usually like to see..there is no Info button in my BPS folder...don't know where it is.

What do you mean by "room list stays the same for the room I just left"?
Are you saying the "People Here" listing doesn't change?
To access the utility:
Click on START > Point to Programs > BPS Software > BPS System Info (OR while PowerTools is launched, click on HELP > BPS System Info)
When the utility loads, click on the "Copy to Clipboard" button, in your reply post right-click > Select Paste.

Ok..let me try this again. I am in a room. There is a room list. There is chat. I select another room. The chat changes to the chat of the room I just selected, but the list of names remains for the room I was in before selecting the new room. I have to get completely OUT of a room before selecting a new one.

Exit PowerTools and follow these steps:
Search your computer for the following file type: *.LYT Make certain you're searching the entire C:\ drive. There should be three of these files located within the C:\Program Files\PowerTools 12\Tools folder. Delete all three files.
Launch PowerTools.
Does the problem still exist?
If so, can you disable tthis "KillAOLAds.exe" program to see if that is causing a conflict with PowerTools?

Actually there were FIVE *.LYT files in that location.
ActBar120.lyt ChatUS110.lyt ToolBarUK121.lyt ToolBarUS120.lyt ToolBarUS1212.lyt
I will dump all five. If this does not fix it then I will try the Kill Ads program....that is possibly the culprit, but I hope not. It is a big help.
Thanks. Will let you know.

Looks like you are correct about the Kill Ads program being the culprit. Too bad. However, it is just a minor inconvenience...far outweighed by it's benefit. Thanks for the help.

Can someone please help me? You'll need to do two things: 1. Start a new thread -- I'm closing this one, since the original author of this thread had is question answered. 2. Include what the problem is, so I can help you. --- To start a new thread: From the main BPS Software Help Forum website, click on PowerTools for AOL > Other PowerTools features. On the large red bar, click on the "New Thread" icon on the right side.
