I had someone send me a .ppz file to import into my editor, however it is in .zip format. When you unzip it, it separates into phrase.dat files that do not work in the editor. How can I import these .zip files so that I can get them into one .ppz file to use?

I would imagine that the person who sent the file corrupted it some how. There is no way PowerTools would have zipped *.dat files.
If you open the built in PowerTools help guide (Help > PowerTools Help) click on Index and search for Custom Phrase Editor, it will show complete directions on how to send phrase packs you can send to your friend.

Well J, there you're a little off. That PPZ file is a zip file of the mail templates in individual dat files. I am guessing they are extracted as needed and saved as needed. It's a makeshift database system. Try it yourself. Rename that file to a ZIP extension and unzip as you like. - KP

K, I'm guessing the user navigated to C:\Program Files\PowerTools 12 and created a ZIP file of their data (the dat files) instead of using the CPE to generate and mail the correct file type. But who knows. I can't try your suggestion -- I'm using Windows Vista, .. I haven't had PowerTools (or AOL) installed for months.
