I have a few questions. First of all I don't quite know if I have the latest PT. However by the looks of things I guess that's moot because you guys aren't quite around as you used to be. Let me know just the same. Lastly all of a sudden my Power Tools has gobbled up my AOL button/tool bar. Now I don't have words like 'file' (where I get and use my much valued thesaurus and dictionary), keyword, help etc. I've restored my AOL...but that wasn;t the problem anyway. I notice when I sign out of PT low and behold there is the original toll bar intact. What I'm saying is i had two rows and now I only have one.

elp,
The last version of PowerTools 12 is 12.0.38. If you need to upgrade, please visit the link within my signature. It has the last files available for download.
Also, it sounds as if you've accidently selected to hide one of the toolbars. Right click on the toolbar and make sure the following three items are checked:
Show NavBar (browser bar) Show Menu Bar (file, edit menu) Show Toolbar (where all the main buttons are like email)
Let me know if that didn't solve your problem.

I had to reformat my hard drive; consequently, I lost my Power Tools (12.0.38). I've searched the internet for a replacement to no avail. I've downloaded the LINK on this page a couple of times; unfortunately, the FILES(s) cannot be opened. It's either been corrupted or removed. I've had PTs since 1997 and I miss it!
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Z

Ok... don't want to be a pest or a pessimist --- but I downloaded Power Tools 12.0.38 from your reply to my initial post; regrettably, the message is the same. "File is Corrupt". Please tell me what I might doing incorrectly, or direct me to a site where Power Tools can be downloaded, please. I have my registration number and serial number. Thank you so much for additional information. Z

I downloaded the file and it works fine.
If you're using any antivirus program temporarily disable that program, then try to download. After you download the file, you can re-enable your AV.
If that doesn't work, how are you downloading the file?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I re-downloaded from your LINK and unzipped it with another UNZIP program ---- Viola! It opened! (winzip was used in my initial efforts to open the folder) I have just one question, though. My Buddy List window won't reset from AOL's window type to PTs window. Any suggestions? Thank you AGAIN! Z

Click on the red PowerTools drill icon > select Customize PowerTools > General Preferences. Under the enhanced windows section, uncheck and recheck Buddy List.
If that doesn't work, make certain the buddy list is the foremost window, click on the menu header titled "Window", then select Remember Windows Size and Position. Click on "Window" again then select Forget Window Size and Position. Exit and reload PowerTools.
Let me know your results.

I find it so sad that Power Tools has closed. I've used them since about 1998, all way through host training, and the macros were so much fun!
Godspeed to those who spent hours answering questions on boards and in chats!

Just to add a comment about PT and the help you've always given. AOL Help could learn a lot from you folks. You have always been a class act for other so-called "customer service" to follow. You actually DID help. Mostly I refer to AOL's help feature as the AOL no-help.
Gonna miss you.
