SMILEYS in Chatroom Don't Show Up

Long time PowerTools user. There used to be an option under chatroom preferences as to whether you wanted the smileys to show up or not in chatroom. I don't see it anymore. So when people post smileys, all I see are brackets []. How do I correct this please?

This generally means you have AOL and PowerTools set to show smilies.

Go to keyword: PREFERENCES > CHAT > Uncheck the option which states: Enable Smilies.
