I am running registered versions of Power Tools 12.0 on two separate machines, a desktop and a laptop. When I'm at home, I use the desktop exclusively, and the laptop when away. I chat extensively on both.
Is there a way I can merge the chat logs from one machine onto the other so that when I'm portable (on the road) I can see those chat logs that were collected on the desktop.
I need to know specifically what the file names are and if there is a way to merge them, sorted by ID, date and time.
Thank you.

Chat logs are saved in our PowerTools 12\Chatroom Logs folder. The way they are organized (folder and file names) depends on the options you selected for your PT Chat Logs.
As long as the file names are different, you can simply copy the folders and files in the main Chatroom Logs folder from one computer to the other. If the files/folders names are the same, create a new folder on the second computer so as to not overwrite existing logs.

Thanks, Carole, but I wanted something a little more specific concerning MERGING those two files into one and being able to sort it into ID/Date/Time sequence. The presence of two files on one system does no good when Power Tools has already allocated it's files and you don't have the ability to switch back and forth.
Could you be more specific, please.

Logs are not saved in one single file. Depending on the options you selected in PowerTools, your chat logs may be saved in many different sub-folders and files.
If you look in the PowerTools Help File under "Chat Log Manager", you'll find detailed explanations on the different options available and how chat logs are saved.
There is also an option to combine several selected log files together (located in the Chat Log Manager's "Log" menu.)
Yet another possibility is to have two separate main Chat Log folders (one for your laptop's logs, and one for your copied desktop's logs), and switch from one to the other whenever you need (there is an option in the Chat Log Manager to switch to any desired Log directory.)
All this is also explained in the PowerTools Help File's "Chat Log Manager" topic if you want to review it for more details.
I would suggest you make a backup of all your logs prior to combining them, just in case.
