Hello everyone,
i would like to scan the text in a chatroom which is typed from any Chatter to send a special Phrase depending on defined Keywords. Maybe that can work with the Action File Editor. Powertools itself can do that word scan in the Word Ban Tool so i am hopeful that there is a possibility to create a function.
For example: Some Chatter is sending "I am very hungry today" to the chatroom and my defined keyword to scan is "hungry", then the Action File should recognise that to autotype the Phrase "Then you should eat something".
Do anyone have an idea how to realize that?
Thanks for your help!
Greetings from Germany!

This couldn't be done with an Action File, though, because Action Files have to be manually launched to perform their task. Also, they're not meant to remain loaded and scan something continuously -- once their task is performed, they end.
I don't think any of the PowerTools features could do what you're trying to do, sorry. This would require a filtering feature that would remain in memory to perform a task whenever triggered.

Hello,
thank you for your answer, i understand that.
Maybe there is an external program to manage that what i want to do, possibly for AIM as well. Do anyone knows such a program?

I am unaware of any programs.
I'd also like to mention that if you do find another add-on program that can meet your needs it is highly unlikely that it will work with PowerTools (because of how PowerTools completely reconfigures the basic style of the AOL chat room).
The only thing I can think of is using the Hot Words to create an audible alert when certain text is used in the chat room. You set the sound you want to hear with the hot word you've created.
Hot words operate whenever the text combination is visible in the chat room. For example if "ELF" was used as a hot word, the sound would play if any of these words were used in the chat: mysELF, sELFish, etc..
