Did AOL change the room or is my PTs glitchy?

As of last Thursday, my greeter is not working in the chatroom. Macros are still sending, but not the greeter. Is this an AOL room-change or is something FUBAR with my PTs?

Nothing is out of the oridinary that I am aware of.
What happens when you turn on the "greeter"?

Please follow these directions to post the BPS System Information Report:
1. Click the Windows "Start" button.
2. Click on "All Programs" to get a list of all installed programs on your system.
3. Click on the "BPS SoftWare" program group.
4. Click on "BPS System Info" and wait for the window to load completely.
5. Once fully loaded, click the "Copy to Clipboard" button on the "BPS System Info" window (nothing will happen visibly -- please do not copy anything else to the Windows Clipboard until finished.)
6. Click the "Reply" button in this thread, right-click in the message body, and then select "Paste" from the menu. This will paste your complete system info in your post.

I had to wipe my HD and reinstall everything, including a new PTs, and now the greeter is working fine. Sorry to bother you! I *am* having a different problem though. I put in the old Custom Editor and it's kind of thingy-eyed. There is supposed to be a large Recipes file there, containing about 25 different subcategories. Instead, it only shows one (Appetizers). But in the overall Custom Phrase file, it has all the missing recipes listed. I can't find them! Here is my current sysinfo:

The database is possibly corrupted. Have you tried using the Custom Editor's "Repair" and "Compact" "functions yet?

Thanks for the suggestion, Carole, I just did both. So far, no change. I'm going to reboot and check again.

Now I am wondering with this new Free AOL program, if those who take it will still be able to use the chatrooms and if so, will my PTs work there?

It's possible the file got corrupted beyond repair when you transferred the file from your hard disk to your backup media.

PowerTools should still work as long as you keep using the standard AOL software, unless AOL makes drastic changes to their client.

When I reinstalled PTs on the (wiped) HD, I ended up with a new/different Reg #. Once I got that, everything fell into place, the Custom Editor redistributed itself correctly and everything is now hunky dory!
