My images are no longer changing as I tab through IMs. One person's picture will stay for every IM now.

I see that you are using IM Frame but I do not see a version of AIM in your system, if you have one loaded can you please tell me what version number you are using by clicking on Help on your Buddy list and and then click About AOL and Instant Messenger, on the bottom left you will see a version number. Thank you.
Also, for maintenance you need to get rid of those 906 temps, if you don't know how to do so we can help you after we get your IM Frame working again .

Todd, I would imagine your problem is resource related.
When you posted your System Information Report you only had 105MB out of 524MB available.

Most of it is due to the fact that you have a huge number of unwanted "TEMP" files (906 of them to be exact).
Do you use any "Disk Cleaning Utilities"? If so, which?

There are also a few more programs you can safely disable from loading with Window.
Here are step by step directions on how to do disable startup programs:

Disable Unnecessary Startup Items
1. Click on START > Point to RUN > Type in MSCONFiG and hit Enter.
2. Click over to the Startup tab
3. Remove the check marks next to these items:

ATIPTA C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel\atiptaxx.exe
iTunesHelper "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe"
QuickTime Task "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
TkBellExe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot

4. Click on Apply > OK.
5. When asked if you wish to Restart, click on "No".
(You can restart your computer to finalize this process whenever you'd like.)

-- Let me know about the Disk Cleaning Utility, I'll need to write up how to remove those files manually (we have an article on our AOL Forum, but I don't believe you have an AOL Account for me to share the link with you....).

I often run my config and I have deleted the temp files through your suggested way and manually just in case.

Complete these directions:

1. Click on START > Point to RUN
2. Paste this into the RUN window and hit Enter:
regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\System32\Actbar2.ocx
(You will receive confirmation that Unregister has succeeded, click on OK"
3. Restart your computer
4. Reinstall I.M. Frame

Let me know your results please.

I doubt uninstalling and reinstalling would fix the issue because it would still leave registry values (which is partially where IMFrame saves settings).

Try this:

Exit IM Frame.
Click on START > Point to RUN > Type in Regedit > Hit Enter.
Navigate to the following keys ("folders"):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Software\
BPS SoftWare\
AIM Frame\
IM Images

Right-click on the "IM Images" folder, select Rename.
Rename to "IM ImagesOLD"
Launch IM Frame.

Does that fix your problem?

Also, since you removed a large amount of files from your computer you really should run Error-Checking and Defrag on your computer.

That did not work. I will run a defrag and try again sometime tomorrow.

P.S. Thanks for your help and patience. If it comes down to you not having any other ideas, I am okay with this feature not working correctly. I mainly use your program for logging now.

Do me a favor, post a new BPS System Information Report and I'll foward it to the programmer.

I have other ideas (such as renaming the IMFrame folder located at C:\Program Files and reinstalling IMFrame) but I'm trying to keep the amount of work on your end minimal.

I'll see what the programmer says.

Out of curiousity have you run a Spyware scan lately? I noticed you have "WeatherBug" installed on your system and most Spyware Scanners mark that as known Spyware (it probably got installed with AIM...).

You may want to view our article here, which explains a little more about Spyware. I highly recommend you download and use Lavasoft's Ad-Aware to scan your system.

Protecting Youself Against Spyware.
