I am a registered Power Tools 12X user who is going to dump AOL and use AIM.
I downloaded the latest version of IM Frame. I went to purchase and found that there is no serial number on this product I downloaded. All I have is a single digit "0" or zero in the window. I uninstalled and dowloaded again and have the same result.
How can I purchase and/or register this product?

Could you please post the BPS System Information Report to these message boards so I could have a closer look at your system? Here are the directions: Click on START > Point to (All) Programs > BPS Software > BPS System Info. Once this utility loads and fills with text, click on the "Copy to Clipboard" button. In your reply post here, simply right-click and select Paste. Thank you!

I am a registered Power Tools 12X user who is going to dump AOL and use AIM. After you installed AIM did you enter a user name into the application? Or does it still prompt you to create a user name?

I think it asked for one, but I cannot exactly recall each step and or prompt during install. I think I was prompted during the download process for e-mail and user. I entered MRRKO as the user and my E-mail is the same.

But if you launch AIM now, does it show a screen name in the "ScreenName" box on the login screen, or does it still only show "<New User>" in that box instead?
Make sure there is a registered AIM screen name on the AIM login screen before installing I.M. Frame.

Yes, there is a registered name on the AIM sign on window Thank you for supplying this information. I'd like to apologize for the delay in getting back to you. We're trying to get in contact with the programmer to see what could be causing the 0 serial information. Unfortunately the recent hurricane activity has limited his access to the internet. Thank you for being patient, we hope to hear something soon.

I just got a response today.
We have never encountered this particular problem before, as I.M. Frame's serial number actually is the user's hard drive serial number. Normally, all hard drives do have a serial number.
The programmer sent me a small program that displays the serial number of the hard drive it is run from. I would need to email this small file to you, so that you can launch it to see if a serial number is shown.
Could you please give me your email address? (you can send me a Private Message by clicking the 3rd mini-icon under my avatar on the left, if you don't want your email address displayed on the board.)
Thank you.

I have sent you the program by email. Please let us know what serial number the program displays for your hard disk.
Thank you.
