Carole-I read a post from Bruce that his Watchright disappeared. Mine did also, so I followed your instructions to reinstall it, but I don't have my original registration number (it has been a few years). Can you help me? When I try to launch Watchright, it expects me to either re-buy it or re-register it before I can do anything. I have never had any problems with my anti-virus software and Watch Right, but on my last scan, Watchright came up as a threat to my computer so I instructed it to remove the files. I feared that something perhaps was trying to come in with Watchright files. I guess I must have removed the software altogether. Why would Watchright all of a sudden show up as a threat? Thanks.

Because of its logging ability, Watch Right is falsly identified as a threat by many antivirus and antispyware programs. You need to set all your antivirus and antispyware programs to always allow or ignore Watch Right if you want to avoid this type of problems in the future. About your registration number, you will need to contact IPG Sales directly, as they handle all registrations for our products. Please see the topic below for information on how to do this: Need a Registration Number?

Carole-I will call to get my registration info. After that, how do I set my antivirus and antispy software to accept Watchright? And, why has it just now come up. I have had my anti software for 2 years and Watchright for more. Could it be an upgrade to my anti software that caused the problem??

After that, how do I set my antivirus and antispy software to accept Watchright? Each antivirus/antispyware program is different. You will need to refer to the Online Help or manual that came with your program, or technical support for that program. Antivirus and antispyware programs update their virus/spyware definitions on a regular basis, constantly adding or removing "threats" to/from their list.
