Is the latest version of WR compatible with the news version of AOL available for download? Yes it is.....the newest WR is 2002.0.0.77 and the newest version of AOL is AOL Security....if these are the 2 versions you are asking about yes they are compatible. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask. BPS TBear :-)

I was referring to AOL Suite. As would have it, after I posted that original question, AOL crashed. I reinstalled 9.0 but can't get the download to the Security edition.

I was referring to AOL Suite. As would have it, after I posted that original question, AOL crashed. I reinstalled 9.0 but can't get the download to the Security edition. If you download AOL 9 Security SE that is compatible with WR......but if you download the extra in there called Safety and Security, that will cause WR not to log. Please post a System Information and I can check your version numbers and make sure they are compatible, here are the directions for posting a system info: If I see AOL safety and Security I will give you directions on how to allow WR to log while having that on your system. :-) 1. Click the Windows "Start" button. 2. Click your mouse on "All Programs" to get a list of all installed programs on your system. 3. Click your mouse on the "BPS SoftWare" program group. 4. Click on "BPS System Info" and wait for the window to load completely. 5. Once fully loaded, click the "Copy to Clipboard" button on the "BPS System Info" window (nothing will happen visibly -- please do not copy anything else to the Windows Clipboard until finished.) 6. Click the "Reply" button in this thread, right-click in the message body, and then select "Paste" from the menu. This will paste your complete system info in your post. BPS TBear :-)

I've run into this problem before with the aol spyware. Where do I open it up at? When I go to start/programs/aol/spyware proection it brings me to the AOL website to download it.
Now back to my original question--I wanted to know if WR was compatible with the new AOL Suite that has been released for download. I'm assuming not.
Thanks!

I am sorry, I don't know anything about a new download of AOL suite, I just looked up the latest download of AOL and you have it...its the AOL Security Edition.....the only one I know about is what I told you about is the AOL safety and security. Which is something that is an add on to AOL 9. BPS TBear

I've run into this problem before with the aol spyware. Where do I open it up at? When I go to start/programs/aol/spyware proection it brings me to the AOL website to download it. I apologize for taking so long to answer, I have been unable to get to the computer for a couple of days. I just did find a little info on that AOL suite but I need to look into that a little more. Can you explain exactly what problem you are having with AOL spyware, is it that its not downloading for you and you want it? If so, there is a much better program out there that I can suggest called Ad-Aware Se from Lavasoft. But let me know the exact problem you are having so I know if I should send you that, or if you are looking to uninstall AOL safety and Security, which I did see in your system info and that will prevent you from logging on WR unless you follow the directions I had posted. That is different than just the AOL spyware. I will await your responce, and again, I apologize for how long this took me to respond to your question. BPS TBear

You are correct. PowerTools is not compatible with AOL Suite, only the full AOL Software. AOL Suite is simply a browser with built in AIM and Email. PowerTools was built to hook onto existing features within AOL (toolbar, buddy list, AOL chat rooms.. etc..) those aren't available for what PowerTools was coded for.

My original question wasn't about PowerTools.
As for AOL security, etc. Apparently it is running and when I open it up it asks me to download it. I can't find how to unistall it.

I knew that. I don't know why I replied as if it was. Regardless, the answer to your question is the same. WatchRight is also not compatible ith AOL Suite. If AOL decides to go forward with this and stop production of the full AOL Client we will most definately make changes where needed.
AOL Security can be uninstalled by going into the Add/Remove Programs applet within the Windows Control Panel. Simply double click on "AOL Uninstaller (choose which programs to remove)" and it will show any related programs that you are able to uninstall -- AOL Security should be listed there.
