Cannot Access WR

I have re-installed WR on my new computer and registered with my previous reg code, which I am also using as my password, per Carole's instructions. Now, when I attempt to access, I get a message "No Route to Host". I have tried to disable Norton Antivirus to see if it was blocking it and I also entered the bpssoft.com address in the Internet Options to allow cookies. Why can't I access this anymore?

First thing I would suggest is upgrading your WR to version 2002.0.75 which is the newest version available. Second, Watch Right is a program that is registered to the Serial number of your Hard Drive so if you were to change computers you would need a new Registration number. All you need to do is send mail to [e-mail] and let them know you have changed computers and are in need of a new Registration number. Give them the Serial number of your new Watch Right on the computer you are on now. Also give them the name and Screen Name you purchase Watch Right under. Make sure you don't have mail blocked from them so they can send you your registration number in your E-mail. If you need any further assistance don't hesitate to ask. :-)

Thanks BPS TBear. I had previously done as you suggested- I notified WR when I bought the new computer and re-downloaded WR. They gave me the registration #, which I used- now I can access the main panel, but when I put in password, I still get the error of no host found.

Could you try something for me:

1. Launch WatchRight
2. Type in your password to open the access panel
3. Click on Options and choose "Reset WatchRight"
4. Now Close the Access Panel
5. Launch WatchRight
Note: You will be prompted to create a new password.

Please let us know the results.

Nobody seems to be getting my problem. I cannot open the access panel to access the Options section because WR won't take my password. Can someone here tell me how to get my money back since this software won't work and my computer has not been monitored all this time due to this issue that no one seems to be able to help me with. I will just download someone else's program at this point.

Unfortunately once registration numbers are issued we cannot issue a refund because there is no way we can disable the registration number. However, we are more than willing to work with you to correct this problem. I'm very sorry for the misunderstanding, from the previous posts I've always personally thought you were able to access the "control panel". I would still like to suggest one more step to see if we can solve your problem:

Click on START > Search > Search the entire "C" drive (Change the "Look In:" field to your C:\ drive) for this file type: *.WDT
When this file type is found, right-click on this file > Select Delete.

Now launch WatchRight and try to enter your registration number. If you get the same results, let us know immediately so we can speak to the programmer and get this issue resolved quickly.

I just returned from out of town so I hadn't had an opportunity to try your suggestion prior to this. I attempted to locate any files on the C:\drive with .WDT and none were found. I still think that Norton Antivirus is blocking access. Each time I try it, I now get a message on my computer that a recent attempt to access my account was blocked. As I explained previously, I have already tried to disable the antivirus protection and also added the url for bpssoft to my cookies to allow access. Any other suggestions?

When you search the C:\ drive for the *.wdt file make certain you click on the "Advanced Options" setting and check the following items:
-Search System Folders
-Search hidden files and folders
-Search subfolders


I'm also curious, can you tell me which Norton Antivirus you are using (for example: Nortons2005, Internet Security 2005, etc...). I'm going to install the same version and try to duplicate the problem.

Great! That worked. I located 3 of the *.wdt files by searching hidden files. After I deleted them, I was able to access the main panel and enter a password and gain access to the monitoring screen. Thanks for your help. Looks like I'm back in business.

You don't need to repurchase WatchRight. You can simply enter your registration number to register the software. If you don't have your registration number, or the number you have no longer works you can
Contact IPG and they'll be able to clear up your registration issue.

If Watch Right is no longer installed on your computer, download it again from our web site and re-install it.

After installation, if you are still using the same computer and that the hard disk has not been reformatted, you can use the same registration number you received at the time you purchased the program.

If, however, you need to install Watch Right on a new computer, or that the hard disk on your existing computer has been reformatted, you will need to request a new registration number following these steps.
