my old computer had windows xp, which i loved, but my motherboard friend and i had to replace it. my new puter has windows 7, which i dont like as well. ive downloaded aol 9.0 se, which i had before, and ive downloaded pt 12, but when i try to open it, it tells me that its still set up for windows xp. how would i go about getting it to open on windows 7? any help would be appreciated. tks!!!!!

As it stands, no. No compatibility with Win7. Some of the more expensive versions of Win7 have an "XP Compatibility" mode which *might* work. I have never tried it, so I don't know. But if you look around old posts, I think Jeromy said something about it once.

tks, ill keep trying. figure maybe if i go through microsoft, they might be able to help with it, im sure there are other programs out there that wont work on 7.

I know when Vista was released, AOL created a new build called "Vista Ready" which was automatically sent out to all users of that Windows operating system. PowerTools was unable to launch with this version of AOL. I imagine that Win7 is a variation of this build and that PowerTools will be unable to launch with it as well.
