for some reason all the sudden my IM's just stop..it's kinda like I keep sending them to people, but I don't get responses back. they only way I come to find out is if I start a new IM to someone and it won't send, or if I'm in a chatroom and someone asks how come I don't respond back, and I have to log off aol and relog back on. Is there a way to fix this so it doesn't keep happening over and over??

The only way PowerTools would cause this would be if you put them on an "ignore" list on accident.
If you open the PowerIM Options check out the "Ignore" tab.
Otherwise, exit PowerTools and see if this behavior continues.. my guess is that it will. PowerTools only enhances the windows and doesn't control the sending or receiving of data from AOLs servers.
Check your Buddy List privacy settings too, maybe that has changed.
