A large amount of the problems posted here about our programs not functioning properly are due to the antivirus and/or antispyware software installed on your computer.
Many antivirus and antispyware programs falsly identify harmless files as threats, and so delete or block them, thus preventing legitimate programs (such as ours) from functioning properly. This includes AOL Safety & Security, the AOL Antivirus, Norton Antivirus, McAfee Antivirus, and more.
Before posting a question here, please make sure to check that all the antivirus and antispyware programs you use are set to always allow or ignore our programs, so that they are allowed to run. Once this is done, you will usually need to reinstall our program, so that the missing or blocked files are reinstalled.
If you are unsure on how to set your antivirus or antispyware programs, please consult the documentation for those programs (Help File), or contact technical support for the related programs, as we cannot give you specific steps about programs we do not support ourselves.
