 I reinstalled Pt 12.38 and now I cannot IM anyone it keeps telling me I am not signed on, and that I need to store a password in my aol preferences, I would but where is aol preferences, not easy to find, my password is stored at my sign on screen. it also gives me the sign on screen a listing of all my screen names, Also when i click on the chat room listing to open the chat room listing it will not open, what gives? also and error message says cannot connect to internet BUT i am connected. so screwed up, please help, thanks....judy or send e mail to jazzysassybabe57@ao.com subject power tools, thanks i;m desperate here.

Do you experience similar problems without PowerTools loaded? PowerTools will never ask for your password, nor should you be required to enter it more than once (at the log on screen) unless you're accessing something from AOL on the web.
Please post the BPS System Information Report and it will help me get an idea of whats going on.
Click on START > Point to (All) Programs > BPS Software > BPS System Info.
Once this utility loads, and all fields fill with text, click on the 'Copy to Clipboard' button (you won't see or hear anything happen).
Return to the message board, right-click > Select 'Paste'.
