Hello: I have PowerTool for years now, I am having trouble with it for a while now. I have my screen set at 1024x768. When I click on PowerTool icon the screen blacks out and come back at 800x600 for some reason I don't know why. before I did a recovery on this pc I had powerTool installed and was working fine and so is aol working fine. Only when I click on the PowerTool icon, the problem I stated happens, so it has to be with PT. I uninstalled PT and reinstall it again and the same thing still happen. I have Midia Center Edition OS 2005 xp pro. I believe it might be a minor problem and can be fix with a little help from some one with knowledge....Thank You

I'm not familiar with Windows MCE, but I know XP and Vista both have this option available...
Navigate to C:\Program Files\PowerTools 12 folder. Right-click on the "ptools12.exe" file and click over to the compatibility tab. Are any of the options here checked? If so, uncheck them.
Please post the BPS System Information Report. It might help identify any problem areas.
Click on START > Point to BPS Software > BPS System Info.
Once this utility loads, and all fields fill with text, click on the "Copy to Clipboard" button.
In your reply message board post, simply right-click > Select Paste.
In addition to the request above, have you changed anything recently on your system (reinstalled Windows, updated the hard drive)?
Is your version of Windows completely updated?

Windows XP Media Edition Pro is what he means, this is just Windows XP Pro with extras to use for media devices. Nothing really different then XP Pro, but just added programs....
