Rocky, To make a long story short I have lost my top toolbar...this was after I took steps when the bps editor kept popping up and preventing pt from starting.
I've reinstalled several times, deleted the .lyt files...I've shutdown all the anti-whatever software that I run. I just don't have my top toolbars..seems like everything else is there and running correctly.
I never have had a problem with PT to amount to anything..This is really ticking me off.
I need your excellant help.
Thanks

BPS SysInfo Report SpySweeper.exe March 27, 2006 12:54 PM The following error occurred: App: PowerTools for AOL Module: MainStartup Description: Component 'DWSBC36.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid Number: 339 Source: BPSPowerTools120 Version: 12.0.37 You pinpointed your problem exactly. You are missing your Toolbar files. The reason this is happening, you have a program used for Spyware called SpySweeper which is known to delete false positives, and this is a file that it does delete, the tool bar files. So you will need to reinstall PT again.....and a great Spyware program is Ad-aware SE which you can get at Lavasoft.com.....and download the free version which is the Personal Edition. I use the program all the time and it works great. Many Spyware removal program just remove files by names, Ad-aware will search out the name and check out how the file is used before deleting the file. If you run Spy Sweeper again in will remove these files again unless you put it in to ignore them. Here are the directions on using Ad-aware: Please let me know how everything works How to Update Ad-Aware Signature Files: Click on START > Programs > LavaSoft Ad-Aware SE > LavaSoft Ad-Aware SE Personal Click on the "Check for updates" link just above START. Click on the "Connect" button. If an update is found, click on the "OK" button to start the download process. When complete, click on "Finish", this will take you back to the main screen. Now, click on "START" then click next, to begin the scanning process, make certain both of these options are selected: **Perform Full System Scan **Search for negligable risk entries BPS TBear :-)

while experimenting I deleted my navagation/url window on the tool bar...Any idea how to get it back? .......I know..I know..I"m an idiot...any help will be appreciated. Right-click anywhere on the toolbar and make sure there's a check mark next to "Navbar". If that doesn't bring it back, you can still right-click the toolbar and select Toolbar Properties, then reset the entire toolbar.

Thanks, Bobby You are in NO way an idiot, these things happen and I am glad it was an easy fix that all is straightened out now. did you know you can save that toolbar layout instead of having to redo it all? There may be time where you may not be able to use the saved layout but most times you can. To save your toolbar layout...click on the down arrow to the right of your tool bar, either one, then click add or remove buttons, at the bottom of that list you will see Customize, as you are familair with that, click that, then click on save, and give it a name that you will know is your newest toobar that you are looking for, I usually give it the PT version number, but you can give it the date or anything you wish, then if you need to pull that one up for any reason, you do the first few steps and instead of clicking on save you would click load. Makes things a lot easier when you customize a lot. Anyway, glad all is fixed now. :-) BPS TBear :-)
