I am a user of power tools 12. A few times now, power tools does not load in properly; the BPS editor appears in the background while the program loads, and eventually power tools doesn't load and locks up AOL to boot.
If I reinstall power tools, the problem goes away....until a few days later when it reappears.
Please help.

I forgot to load the system info file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Dwsbc36.ocx C:\WINDOWS\system32\Dwshk36.ocx C:\WINDOWS\system32\dwspy36.dll [glow=red,2,300]Description: Component 'DWSBC36.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid[/glow] Your info is showing that the files I left posted above 2 end with .ocx and 1 ends with .dll are what is causing the problem. Seems like you are using either and Antivirus program that is misidentifying those files or a spyware program that my be idenitifying them inforrectly, what you will need to do, is after you do a scan make sure you tell your spyware or antivirus program 2 ignore those 3 files, most likely they are the files being found, once you tell your programs to ifnore them, you should be ok, if you are still having problems please let me know and I will continue to help you out. Hi there.
Thanks Mr. Bear for your help. Indeed the culprit was a spyware scanner.
To be specific, it was zone alarm pro's scanner. It runs twice a week, and this morning, after it ran, is when the problem began again.
I ran the scan manually and sure enough, it indentified one of the files as a key logger. I added the file to the ignore list.
I will let you know if the problem continues, but I think this :)did the trick!
thanks!

And I am glad we got you back up and running again. Enjoy PT :-) BPS TBear

Zone Alarm's internal spyware scanner falsely identifies PowerTools as "BlackBox". Run a complete scan and place "BlackBox" on the Always Ignore list. BPS Software does not and will not ever contain Spyware, Malware, or anything else that might track your internet usage.
