I am running PT 10.1.65 and I need to have my computer re-formatted as windows is all screwed up. I need to know how to back up my power tools. I know it makes a backup file....but what about my Custom Phrase Editor? Will my customized tool bars be the same when I reload PT or is there someway I can save that too? I already saved my address book groups under my Documents on my hard drive because my computer guy said he can save My Documents...so it would be safe there. But I need step by step directions to saving PT so when he is done I can reload it again.
thanks, Kathy <<kathavnfun@aol.com>>

There are a number of things you may want to save. We have an article at our AOL Forum that summarizes what can be backed up/transferred. The article doesn't mention the "Chat Logs" and "IM Logs" but you can simply copy those directories to CD. Be certain to pay attention to the "Important Note" outlined in the article at our forum. You may need to change the properties of those folders when you reinstall PowerTools 10. Complete directions can be found at this AOL Keyword URLNOTE: You must be signed onto AOL for this link to work. To Create a PowerTools 10 Toolbar Layout File: Right click the toolbar, then click the Save Toolbar Layout button to save the layout to disk for later retrieval (Load Toolbar Layout button). I'd also like to remind you to write down your PowerTools 10 Registration Number. Launch AOL/PowerTools, click on HELP > About PowerTools.
