I am puzzled. The active bar at the bottom of my aol screen used to show which buddy had signed in and signed off. Now however, it works on one screen name and none of the others.
I haven't changed any settings etc? Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Reset the Active Status Bar.
Select the small black arrow on the far right side of the toolbar > Click on "Reset Toolbar".
Let me know if that solves your problem.

did that first thing.. tried it on all the sn's that it wasn't working on.. no go. To my knowledge, I have never did anything other than hit that reset, didn't change any actions etc.
and as an added thing that makes me go hmmmm I have two puters, same aol account on both, powertools on both. it's happening on them both. and I know I've never touched the active bar on the other one, however I did try to reset it to get it to work.. and it's a no go on that one also.
Did the virus scan, adware.. etc etc that aol provides.. both puters clean as a whistle.
man I miss that thing working, never knew how much I glanced at it till it's not working.
tried redownloading pt 12, deleted it off the puter first, then reinstalled fresh copy.. nada.
I can't think of anything else to do
erm Help?

Exit PowerTools and follow these directions:
1. Click on START > on the right-side pane Select SEARCH 2. Search for Actbar120.lyt (you can copy and paste this) 3. Change the "Look In:" to search your C:\ drive 4. Click on "Search Now" button. 5. Once the item is found right-click on this file > Select Delete. 6. Launch PowerTools.

did as instructed.. no change.. works on only one sn .. the same sn on both puters.. and none of the others. Even ran the search twice to make sure I had deleted all copies of the file.
Next suggestion please?

I would go to Keyword: UPGRADE and download the latest version of AOL 9.0.
The version you have is pretty outdated. It isn't uncommon for those TODs (Tools on Demad -- downloads at sign off) corrupt your screen name data.
Updating should fix your problem.

I doubt that is the case -- otherwise we would have seem a lot more posts about the same issue.
Go to Keyword: Filtering and Viewing on AOL. Make certain the following items are NOT checked:
Show my buddy list in A-Z order Use Friendly Names in Buddy List Window
-- Please let me know your results.
