How can you get like your "Macros" to go through the fader? Instead of it just being wavy...the colors too?

You can edit the schemes to be any combination of:
wavy, rainbow, or faded.
Just click on the scheme button > select Create/Edit scheme and change your option.
I'd imagine the scheme you're currently using just doesn't have the setting you're looking for -- you can easily edit it though.
