Since that didn't work, the programmer suggested reinstalling AOL.

The only downfall of this is, right now I can't find a working download for a non-vista compatible build of AOL.

Keyword: UPGRADE used to take you to AOL 9.0 Security Edition, which is what we recommend for use with PowerTools.

Until recently they released a Vista compatible version of AOL at Keyword: UPGRADE and that is not compatible with PowerTools.

I will continue to try and find a working download link for AOL 9.0 Security Edition.

Thanks Rocky, but I have a link and have uninstalled AOL, and re-installed just recently.

Just let it go, I can live without it and it is becoming too much trouble.

Sorry we couldn't come up with an easier solution!

I know AOL has just released a new AOL 9.0 (which is Windows Vista ready available at Keyword: UPGRADE) and we're releasing a new build of PowerTools to fix some compatibility issues.

Although these issues won't effect your question/problem, it will be an easy way to get the latest version of AOL.
