I know that the program has been sunsetted, but I have been using AOL 8.0 out of preference to 9.0. I have a registered set of PTs for my 9.0 and one that I have been using 10x forever for my 8.0
Today when entering the chat room I could not get the power window to launch. It launched in a private room with no problems, and also launched in an AIM chat room
while there are no official "hosts" anymore, I do "host" three chats a week and need my greets, etc.
Any suggestions to fix this?
Thanks so much,
Jo

I don't have PowerTools 10/AOL 8.0 installed on my computer so I can't verify if there are indeed problems with PowerChat loading.
The best I can suggest is "resetting" the PowerChat setting to see if it can hook onto the window. If AOL did indeed change the chat window making the PowerChat in PowerTools 10 inoperable we will not be making any code changes.
Here are the directions to "reset" PowerChat:
[Exit/close PowerTools before you perform these steps]
1. Click the Windows Start button, click Run, and enter: REGEDIT 2. Double click to expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder. 3. Double click to expand Software, then expand BPS SoftWare. 4. Double click to expand PowerTools 10. 5. With the PowerTools folder highlighted, look for: RichChat Window <-- delete that subfolder. 6. Close the Registry Editor, and restart PowerTools.
