I don't see anything from your System Information Report that would indicate a problem. Out of curiousity do you have any "Hot Words" for PowerChat? I would like to know if those cause the same "lag" that the banned words do. Click on the Red PowerTools drill icon > Select "Customize PowerTools" > "PowerChat Preferences". Once here, click on the "Hot Words" tab. Enter the NEW button. Enter the word: "test", then click on SAVE. Enter a chat room and send the word: "test" to the room. -- Does the default sound play? -- Any lagging? [When finished with this test, you can delete the TEST Hot Word] The banned words are stored at C:\Program Files\PowerTools 12\Banwords.txt Locate this file, right-click on it, select Properties. Make certain "Read Only" is not checked. Also, you can safely disable the following programs from loading with Windows: Disable Unnecessary Startup Programs: - Click on START
- Click on RUN
- Type in MSCONFiG and hit Enter
- Click over to the Startup tab
- Remove the checkmarks next to the following items:
HostManager LogitechVideoRepair LogitechVideoTray (optional) QuickTime Task NAV CfgWiz
- When finished, hit Apply > OK. Restart your computer.

I figured you didn't have hotwords, I want you to create one, then see if you experience the same lag that you do when using the banned words.
You can search Windows XP for that Banwords.txt document:
1. Click on START > on the right-side pane Select SEARCH 2. Search for BannedWords.txt (you can copy and paste this) 3. Change the "Look In:" to search your C:\ drive 4. Click on "Search Now" button. 5. Right-click on it, select Properties. Make certain "Read Only" is not checked.
