The problem we've all been experiencing today STILL is ongoing. I've re-started my room. Restarted AOL and Powertools NUMEROUS times. Restarted my PC. Uninstalled and reinstalled my powertools *latest version..12.0.37 or something like it.*
NOTHING works right. When my powertools initializes, as SOON as I go in the room, almost ALL of powertools stops working. It won't work in the room, it disappears from my buddylist, it cuts my tool bar in half, horizontally. Right now, I'm running nothing but AOL, and it sucks. I don't see how it can supposedly be fixed, yet it magically doesn't work for just me.
Oh, and when Powertools is initializing, the bpseditor.txt shows up for some odd reason. As I said, I've reinstalled it 3 times today ALONE. It just makes zero sense.

Search your computer for the BPSEditor.txt file and delete it, if found.
1. Click on START > on the right-side pane Select SEARCH 2. Search for BPSEditor.txt (you can copy and paste this) 3. Change the "Look In:" to search your C:\ drive 4. Click on "Search Now" button. 5. Right-click on this file > Select "Delete".
If this file isn't found, search and delete the following files and let me know if this solves your problem:
1. Click on START > on the right-side pane Select SEARCH 2. Search for *.LYT (you can copy and paste this) 3. Change the "Look In:" to search your C:\ drive 4. Click on "Search Now" button. 5. Right-click on the files located in the C:\Program Files\PowerTools 12\Tools folder > Select "Delete".

I tried both. I found no bpseditor.txt stuff, but I did find 2 .lyt files in Powertools. I deleted both, and it still doesn't work.

There should have been three *.lyt files, can you try the search again?
Also, does PowerTools fully load at all? Does the BPSEditor.txt file still appear?
An alternative to solve your problem:
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\PowerTools 12
2. Right-click on the TOOLS folder, select Rename.
3. Rename the TOOLS folder to TOOLSOLD.
4. Reinstall PowerTools 12.

Ok, I just did both of these, and neither of them fixed the issue. During initialization, the bpseditor.txt shows up, and it hangs up, too. Then once it's running, A. it won't work at ALL, and B. it cuts the browser bar on the toolbar in half, horizontally. BTW, it works on my other 2 p.c.'s. Just not this one, and this is a brand new one, too.

Okay. I got it all working now. I deleted everything Powertools EXCEPT The .exe file. Then I emptied the recycle bin. Then I went into msconfig and removed everything from the start up menu. Then, I rebooted and re-installed powertools. It seems to be working alright now. I'll let you know more if it messes up again.
