" Font keeps reverting to bold & Italics"

When i type in the chat input window, the text looks as it should look based on the current font settings. But when I actually send the text to the chat room, it always comes out in Bold and Italics. This happens no matter which font family I use. It's driving my crazy.

* My AOL Font and Text settings are typical
* My chat preferences are default (no overrides)
* I have reinstalled. I have checked and rechecked things. It keeps happening

No one else i speak to has this problem. What do I do to solve this?

I am told maybe I should remove PT registry entries. Can you tell me exactly which ones might control these font settings?

Before I give you directions on changing the font for the Chat room I just have one question. Do you want your font the same for all you do online or do you want a different font in chat than you do for IM's or Mail?
