IM'ing a Group

Can u please tell me how to set it up so that I can IM groups of people?

A friend of mine is able to click the send all button which then displays a box in which he can select the group to which to send the new IM to.

Any help would be great.

To do this, click the "Send All" button on the IM Frame button bar, and then select the desired option from the popup menu (the "Group" options will be grayed out if the people in a group are not currently online.)

My problem is that the popup menu never displays.

When the button is pressed it sends the instant message to all of my open tabs.

It seems like you may be using an older version of IM Frame. Try to upgrade to the latest version. You can download it from our web site at www.bpssoft.com

If that doesn't help, pleasee post your system information below following these steps:

1. Click the Windows "Start" button.

2. Click on "All Programs" to get a list of all installed programs on your system.

3. Click on the "BPS SoftWare" program group.

4. Click on "BPS System Info" and wait for the window to load completely.

5. Once fully loaded, click the "Copy to Clipboard" button on the "BPS System Info" window (nothing will happen visibly -- please do not copy anything else to the Windows Clipboard until finished.)

6. Click the "Reply" button in this thread, right-click in the message body, and then select "Paste" from the menu. This will paste your complete system info in your post.

After updating IM frame I now get the menus to select which group I would like to send the group IM to. Thanks!

However, instead of sending the message I entered, I am sending the following:

"xxxx (2:37:35 PM): This member is using a"

I am unable to update AIM because the network administrator does not allow it. Does this error have anything to do with that?

Everything starting up is correct except for Zango which is spyware (in the process of removing it now)

My AIM version is 5.2.3292

IM Frame is compatible with AIM 4.3.X-5.9.X so you should be able to use that function.

Let me know if you still have issues once you remove the spyware.

Spyware has been removed and I'm still sending out the same im no matter what my IM origonally said.

If that were the case, we would have seen more than 2 users reporting the problem. Unfortunately, the other person never posted their BPS system information, so we can't check for any similarities between your system info and theirs.

Could you please post your updated system information, so we can take another look after your spyware removal?

The file: AIM.odl appears to be missing. Are you able to reinstall AIM at least? If not, get someone you trust to forward the aim.odl file to you (it should be placed in this folder: C:\Program Files\AIM -- possibly AIM95 with older installs).
