There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary with your system specs.
I do think that you have an over abundant amount of "security" software running at once though. Each spyware/antivirus program you have running has the ability to do a "on-access scan". What this means is everytime you launch a program or file each of those security programs scan the file once before allowing the program to run. So a potential scenario:
Launch PowerTools > scanned by AVG > Scanned by Spysweeper > Scanned by Ad-Watch before it can be loaded.
I think an easier avenue for security would be to learn how things can infect your computer (downloading files from websites frequently, clicking on links from people/sites you don't know, etc..) and doing a periodic scan of your entire system with each of your respective security programs (after you update them!) would much more system friendly.... but it's your call.
I personally only run one antivirus program, then weekly run a spyware scan before I run scandisk and defrag.
However, follow these instructions, t will remove the settings for PowerChat. The next time you launch PowerTools it will recreate the default settings. Hopefully that will solve your problem.
EXIT POWERTOOLS FIRST!1. Click on START > Point to RUN
[NOTE: You can also click on the Windows Key+R to open the RUN command window]
2. Type in REGEDiT and hit Enter
3. Double click on the following folders:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
BPS SoftWare
PowerTools 12
4. Right-click on the "PowerChat" folder > Select DELETE.
5. Close the REGEDiT window and launch PowerTools.
Let me know your results.
